You can Stop I.D. theft by limiting access to your credit Information. The fastest way to do this is call the Big Three credit reporting companies and have them put a Freeze on your file. They generally charge about $10 for this service. When you activate this service you are stopping all inquaries into your credit file. This is a good way to stop crooks from opening new accounts in your name.
