We are taking a break today from our Hillary coverage for this special Porkbusters update.
The Club for Growth has compiled the voting records of all House members on 19 anti-pork amendments. Rep. Jeff Flake, R-Arizona, amended the pork infested bills to force members to cast up-or-down votes on the record to document wasteful spending in Congress. Your tax dollars hard at work for dairy education in Iowa, Locomotive Demonstration, an Aquarium, a Swimming Pool and “Arts” centers. So, how did the Texas Delegation score?
Not very well! Only two Congressmen were a perfect 19-for-19. Jeb Hensarling, R-TX-5 and Ron Paul R-TX-14. By my quick count 17 members from the Texas Delegation were 0-for-19 when it came time to stop pork barrel spending and wasting your tax dollars! And my two Representatives: Republicans Kay Granger and Dr. Michael Burgess could NOT vote against ONE special interest project! Not one! Republicans in name only? Special Thanks to Rep. Jeff Flake for exposing these Congressional pigs feeding at the taxpayer trough.
